Mubadala an Abu Dhabi based company has invested Rs 9,093 crore in Reliance Industries Limited.
Mubadala has purchased 1.85% of shares in Reliance Jio company. Mubadala is fully owned by the Abu Dhabi government and is worth $ 229 billion. In the last 6 weeks, this is the 6th company to invest such a large amount in Jio. Companies like Facebook, Silver Lake, Vista Equity, General Atlantic, KKR and now Mubadala have invested a total of Rs 87,655.35 crore in Jio. Reliance has taken a total loan of Rs 1.61 lakh crore. Mukesh Ambani aims to clear all his loans by 2021. Reliance CFO Srikanth Venkatachari said, to clear the loans, Reliance aims to collect Rs 1.04 lakh crore by this June. They aim to collect the balance amount by this year-end and clear all the loans.
