Karnataka Imposed 14-Day Lockdown

Karnataka CM has announced strict restrictions in the state for two weeks as there is a massive surge in Covid-19 cases over the past months.

Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa has announced strict restrictions for the next two weeks in the state which has been witnessing a massive surge in Covid-19 cases over the past months. He said, “Curfew will be in place for 14 days from 27th April 9pm to 12th may 6am. No public transport will be allowed. The virus is spreading aggressively across the state. It's worse than Maharashtra and Delhi. We will vaccinate people above the age of 18 years free of cost at government hospitals. Essential groceries will be allowed to be purchased between 6 am and 10 am. After that all shops will be closed.” 

Only construction, manufacturing, and agriculture sectors have been allowed to work through the lockdown. Except for emergencies, Karnataka has banned intra- as well as inter-state travel for the duration of the lockdown.Flights will continue to be operational during the lockdown and passengers with valid tickets and ID will be allowed to travel to and from the airport.
