Winter is the time for warm blankets and fuzzy sweaters. However, one thing that you need to remember in winter is the bad air pollution levels. Every year, during the cold season, we do not think much about air pollution. But this year we need to be more careful because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The following tips may protect you from this problem.

Immunity: Prevention is always better than cure. You need a strong immunity to fight the toxins that may enter your body. To improve your immunity, eat foods that are rich in vitamin C, magnesium, and omega-3 fatty acids. For example, lemons, oranges, garlic, turmeric, spinach, yogurt, almonds, and ginger are great immunity boosters.

Outdoor:Try to restrict your activities outdoors as much as possible because, during the cold season, the air is filled with toxic pollutants. Do not go for a walk in the smog. Do not exercise in the open, especially early in the morning.

Mask and Earmuffs: Since the last few months, we are all used to wearing masks all the time due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But some people have been using face masks or covering their faces with scarves to protect themselves from air pollution even before Covid-19 pandemic. So, to avoid any kind of infection from the pollution or the virus, cover your nose and mouth whenever you step outside your house. Masks are your saviours now. Additionally, use earmuffs or mufflers to protect your ears.

Air purifiers: To create a breathable environment in your house, get an air purifier. This will purify the air inside your house and also aid your breathing. Since we cannot stop the main causes of air pollution, air purifiers will help in our family breathing good air. Remember, impure air is harmful to your lungs, but it affects your brain as well.
