Chennai Techie Finds Vikram Lander

After world famous organisations like ISRO & NASA failed, a Chennai based software engineer has managed to locate the crash site or the Vikram Lander. Watch the video for all the details!

You all know about the Chandrayaan-2’s Vikram Lander that was supposed to land on the moon. This was ISRO’s biggest project and if the Vikram lander Landed on the moon India would become the fourth country to do it.However the Vikram Lander crash landed on the moon and the project failed. For months ISRO & NASA have been trying to find the damage Vikram lander on the moon but they both failed.

NASA sent its own orbiter over the crash site and took many pictures. They still could not find Vikram. NASA released these pictures to the public and asked for help.A software engineer named Shanmuga Subramanian from Chennai has found the Vikram Lander.Shanmuga does not have any professional training in space research and did not have any fancy equipment. He went through the pictures released by NASA for 6-7 hours everyday. He compared the new pictures to old pictures of the same area and finally found Vikram in October.

He told NASA about this. On 3rd December NASA confirmed that he was successful in finding the lander.

Shanmuga said that if you are passionate about something then you do not need a degree. Learning is a continuous process, we should not stop learning at any point in time.He said he is not the only one interested in space. There are many Like him. He has encouraged everyone to continue researching about the space
