Virat Kohli Becomes 1st Indian to Cross 100 Million on Instagram

Virat Kohli has become the first Indian to cross 100 million followers on Instagram.

Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli does not just have a knack of breaking records on the field but also off the field. Virat Kohli on Monday became the first Indian to cross 100 million followers on Instagram. Kohli is also the first cricketer in the world to achieve 100 million followers. The International Cricket Council (ICC) congratulated Kohli on social media. Kohli has 40.8 million followers on Twitter and 43 million likes on Facebook. Actor Priyanka Chopra is the most followed Indian on Instagram with 60.8 million followers.

Famous footballer from Portugal Cristiano Ronaldo is the most followed individual on Instagram with over 266 million followers. He is followed by famous singer Ariana Grande who has 224 million followers, while retired WWE superstar Dwayne Johnson also known as ‘The Rock’ is third on the list with 220 million followers. Kohli is currently in Ahmedabad with the Indian cricket team as they gear up for the fourth and the final Test against England, beginning March 4.  

Correction: Portugal’s footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is the most followed individual on Instagram with over 266 million followers.
