UAE 'Rs.23 Lakh Golden Visa' Rumor Goes Viral — Officially Debunked

A fake news story claiming UAE Golden Visa is available for ?23 lakh went viral, but UAE officials clarified no such offer exists and warned people against scams.

In recent days, social media and big news channels like Times of India and Economic Times were full of one headline — “UAE Golden Visa now available for ?23.3 lakh!” People across India got very excited. Many thought, “Wow! Now we can settle in the UAE, take our family, avoid taxes, and apply from India!”

But soon, UAE officials said this news is totally fake.

How Did This Fake News Start?

The rumour began when a Dubai-based consultancy, Rayad Group, claimed that Indians could get a UAE Golden Visa for ?23.3 lakh (100,000 AED) under a “pilot nomination-based scheme.” Many people believed it was an easy way to move to the UAE without spending crores.

After that, famous Indian media like TOI, ET, and NDTV reported it as true without checking the facts. Social media became full of viral posts, memes, and even fake “how to apply” guides.

Funny jokes, especially from Hera Pheri movies, and WhatsApp forwards started spreading fast.

UAE Government’s Quick Action

The UAE’s official immigration department, called Identity and Citizenship Authority (ICP), quickly gave a strong statement. They said there is no such ?23 lakh Golden Visa offer. No private company inside or outside UAE can run such a scheme.

They reminded people that the real visa applications happen only through official UAE government websites. They also warned that people spreading fake news or asking money for this fake scheme will face strict legal action.

Later, the Rayad Group admitted their mistake and apologised publicly.

What Is the Truth About UAE Golden Visas?

Golden Visas in UAE are real but not so cheap. Since 2019, UAE has given these visas to doctors, scientists, researchers, artists, and other top professionals through a nomination process.

If you want to get it by investment, you need to invest AED 20 lakh (around ?4.7 crore) in property or AED 5 lakh (?1.2 crore) in a UAE business.

So, Golden Visas are earned by skills or big investments, not by paying ?23 lakh to any agent.

Final Message

There is no ?23 lakh Golden Visa for Indians. UAE Golden Visas have strict rules, and you cannot buy them through any private scheme.

Be careful, always check news from official sources, and avoid falling into such traps.
