A few days ago a video of a young man went viral on social media where he was seen with a Swiggy bag riding a white horse amidst heavy rain in Mumbai. ISH News had released a video about it. You can see it here. Swiggy posted a 'Letter of Declaration' on Twitter and joiking asked viewers to read carefully as these might be asked in the next season of KBC. Swiggy wrote, "We have news about the horse, the young man and the now famous video. Both man and animal have been identified. Swiggy wrote the replies like FAQ.
Who is the horse rider? The young horse rider is a 17-year-old boy named Sushant. He is not a Swiggy delivery executive but a "typical teenager" who "borrows things and forgets to return them". In this case, what he borrowed was a Swiggy delivery bag.
Is he riding Toofan or Bijli? The name of the horse is Shiva.
What does he do? Sushant is currently working as a horse couturier, i.e. he is responsible for dressing horses that are used for wedding processions.
What is in the Swiggy bag? The boy was carrying an embroidered drape and accessories that are usually put on horses in wedding processions.
Where were they going? They were returning from a wedding.
Who shot the video? A young man Avi and his friend from their car.
Avi and his friend have claimed the "bounty" of 5000/- Swiggy also added that Sushant’s phone was broken so was not aware that he and his horse had become viral. He has now got a new smartphone.
Furthermore, the company added a unique tribute to the "rider and his steed" on their app. Yes, customers were able to see a horse-riding icon going forward on their app to indicate a delivery person if they placed an order.
Swiggy also added that Sushant and Shiva were happy with the adoration (love) and posed for photos for them but he also requested Swiggy to leave them alone. So, Swiggy has also requested its users to do the same.
