SLAD Leaders Meet Chief Minister of Maharashtra

After a successful protest in Pune, Leaders of SLAD go to the Vidhan Sabha in Mumbai for a meeting with Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

The Leaders of the State Level Association of Deaf came to Mumbai on the 28th February 2019, to meet with the Devendra Fadnavis the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. This meeting was to discuss a total of 14 point presented by SLAD. The meeting was attended by Manoj Patwari the President of SLAD, Aniket Selgaonkar the Vice-President, Pradeep More the General Secretary. Interpreters Athiya Hajee and Taslim Shaikh were also present.

The Meeting was extremely successful, as all the government officials including the Chief Minister agreed to all the demands. Once this proposal was passed in the Vidhan Sabha, the government has promised to consult with SLAD before submitting the Final draft with the General Resolution.

SLAD is extremely happy with the Maharashtra governments cooperation. Fingers crossed the Vidhan Sabha approves these demands soon.
