Singer KK Passes Away After Performing in a Live Concert

Singer Krishnakumar Kunnath - KK popularly known as KK, was born on 23rd August, 1968 and has sung over 500 Hindi songs, and 200 other songs in different languages. KK is one of the most popular famous singers in India of all times, and is an idol to almost every 90’s and early 2000’s born kid. On the night of 31st May KK was in Kolkata at Gurudas College for a music concert. During the interval he complained of uneasiness but he performed till the end of the event. After the concert he was taken to his five star hotel. However there his health became worse. He was taken to the hospital but he died before he reached. 

He was only 53 years old. He is survived by his wife and two children in his family. Soon after KK’s death West Bengal Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Arup Biswas, rushed to the hospital immediately. The officials at the hospital mentioned that his body has been sent for postmortem. 


As soon as the news of his death surfaced on the internet , people from all around the country paid their  tribute to him. Youths on social media also mentioned how they have grown up listening to KK songs which are timeless. After this sad event Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid his tribute to the musical legend by tweeting, “Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions and struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.” KK’s death has surely shocked and saddened the whole internet as it comes in as a very sad news just 2 days after famous Punjabi Singer Sidhu Moosewala was murdered in Punjab.
