Shiv Sena May Break BJP Alliance

The Shiv Sena and the BJP are at loggerheads over who will form the next government in Maharashtra. Watch the video for all the details.

Even though the BJP has won the Maharashtra elections with majority seats, it has still not not formed a government and the CM of Maharashtra has not been selected either. Since the elections were announced the Shiv Sena have been demanding a 50-50 share in the government. The Shiv Sena wanted to share the CM post for 2.5 years as well. According to the Shiv Sena, they a 50-50 government was promised to them by the BJP before the elections.

The BJP has still not agreed to Shiv Sena’s demands. There are rumours that Shiv Sena will break their alliance with the BJP and Join the NCP. Shiv Sena won 56 seats in the elections, the NCP won 54 seats and the Congress won 44. Rumours say that the Shiv Sena and NCP will partner and form a government while the Congress will just support them. In total the three parties will have 154 seats. While the BJP only won 105 seats. If Shiv Sena partner with NCP, the CM will be from Sena and the deputy CM will be from NCP.

10th November is the last day to form the government. If the BJP-Shiv Sena still do not agree and continue arguing then the central government will take power over Maharashtra.
