Office Romance Ends with Murder: Man beheads HR Manager
An HR manager from Agra was brutally murdered by her office colleague, and her body was dumped on a bridge over the Yamuna River
A shocking murder case has come to light in Agra, where a 30–32-year-old man was arrested for brutally killing his office colleague and HR manager, Minky Sharma, and dumping her body on a bridge over the Yamuna River.
The victim, 32-year-old Minky Sharma, was a resident of Tedhi Baghia in Agra. She was reported missing by her family on 23 January 2026 after she did not return home from her office in Sanjay Place. Minky had left home around 2 pm, saying she was going to work. When her phone was found switched off and she did not return by evening, her family searched for her and later filed a missing complaint.
In the early hours of 24 January, around 1 am, locals informed the police about a suspicious gunny bag lying on Jawahar Bridge. When police inspected it, they found a naked, headless body with severed legs inside.
Police formed five special teams to investigate the case. CCTV footage showed a man dragging a gunny bag from an office building and later riding a scooter towards the bridge. Further footage helped identify the accused as Vinay Singh, a computer operator who worked in the same office as Minky.
During interrogation, Vinay Singh confessed to the crime. He said they were in a relationship for over two years but frequent arguments began after he suspected her of talking to another man. On 23 January, he called her to the office, attacked her with a knife, dismembered the body, and tried to dump it on the bridge.
Police have registered an FIR and recovered the knife and clothes. Vinay Singh has been sent to judicial custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
