Now Reach Vaishno Devi in 8hrs From Delhi

Amit Shah flagged off, the new Vande Bharat Express which will travel from New Delhi Railway Station to Vaishno Devi’s Katra railway station in Jammu.

The first high speed Vande Bharat Express train was launched  in February this year. The train travels from Delhi to Varanasi. Now, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday flagged off the new Vande Bharat Express. This train will travel from New Delhi Railway Station to  Vaishno Devi’s  Katra railway station in Jammu. Earlier from Delhi, it used to take 12 hrs to reach Katra (Vaishno Devi). Now the new train will reach in just 8 hrs. 

Vande Bharat Express is a luxurious all air-conditioned train with chair car service and 16 coaches. Amit Shah said it is a big gift for Jammu and Kashmir and will help them develop. The first train will run from Delhi to Katra on October 5, 2019. The booking is open on the IRCTC  website. Tickets will cost between Rs 1630 to Rs 3015.The train has special windows that protect from people who throw stones 

Earlier trains would get damaged and derailed because cows would run and come in front of the train. They have installed a new cattle guard that will protect the train from cows.The Vande Bharat Express was designed and built in Chennai under central government’s Make in India programme. It was completed in 18 months. The train that will operate six days a week from New Delhi, except on Tuesday.Similarly, from Katra it will operate six days a week except on Tuesday.
