The new year i.e. the year 2023 will begin. The life of the common man of the country will change a lot from January 1, 2023. Actually, from January 1, 2023, many rules will change in the country. Meanwhile, such discussions are intensifying on social media that from January 1, 2023, a new note of Rs 1000 will come and from this day the old note of Rs 2000 will also be closed. A video is going viral on different platforms of social media, in which it is being claimed that from January 1, 2023, a new Rs 1000 note will come and Rs 2000 notes will be returned to the banks. But the surprising thing in this whole matter is that the government has not issued any notification related to issuing new Rs 1000 notes and withdrawing Rs 2000 notes.
In such a situation, it was very difficult to believe this thing. Hence, PIB Fact Check investigated to know the truth of this video which is going viral on social media. PIB Fact Check found in its investigation that the claim made in the video going viral on social media is completely fake. This simply means that from January 1, 2023, neither new Rs 1000 notes are coming nor Rs 2000 notes are being returned to the banks. The 2000 rupee note will continue to run in the market like before. PIB Fact Check has appealed to people not to share such misleading messages with anyone or forward them to any group on social media.
