MLA Dumps Garbage on Man in Mumbai
Shiv Sena MLA Dilip Lande made Narpat Kumar sit in the flooded road and asked people to dump garbage on him.
On 12th June, there was water logging in the Sanjay Nagar area in Kurla. Shiv Sena MLA Dilip Lande made Narpat Kumar (26) sit in the flooded road and asked people to dump garbage on him. According to Lande, Kumar was responsible for cleaning the nullahs, But he did not do his work properly, which is why there were floods during the rains. After the video of the incident went viral, Mr Lande said he wanted the "contractor" to realise his responsibility. However, it turned out that the man who was made to sit on the waterlogged road was a temporary supervisor working with a civic contractor. He was not the contractor. He said the concerned drain was cleaned just eight days before the incident, but somebody again dumped garbage into it.
Mr Kumar has filed a written complaint about the incident with the Ghatkopar police station. He even said, "I have contracted some kind of infection. I am also facing difficulty in breathing after the incident," According to Mr Kumar, he was admitted to a private hospital in suburban Borivali. He said, "I am going back to my native place in UP. My family was shocked when they learnt about the incident after watching the video and they haven't slept for the past two days. Therefore, I am going to see them,"
People are very angry with Lande and said that he behaved badly and should not have done this.
