Man Spends Dollar 2 Million A Year To Stay Young

A group of 30 doctors will work on software entrepreneur Bryan Johnson to keep his body - which means all his internal and external organs - just like that of an 18-year-old.

Bryan Johnson is a 45-year-old software billionaire from Venice, California, USA. He has a very expensive medical regimen to remain young forever. Oliver Zolman, a specialist in regenerative medicine, is in charge of the medical team. He is on a mission to stop every organ in Johnson’s body from ageing. Johnson is ready to be the guinea pig of Zolman’s medical experiment that comes with a massive cost. A group of 30 doctors worked with Johnson to keep his body - which means all his internal and external organs - just like that of an 18-year-old including the bladder, penis, rectum, heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, tendons, skin and teeth. More than a year has passed since Johnson, Zolman, and the team began their tests, which they refer to as Project Blueprint. Johnson's food, routine, etc is very stringent. Johnson wears glasses that block blue light for 2 hours and then goes to bed by 8.30 pm everyday. He eats 2,250 calories daily between 6 am and 11 am, and has four to five hours of "concentrated thought". Johnson doesn't drink and swallows staggering 111 pills a day.

He also does one hour of high-intensity exercise three times a week. Johnson also undergoes lots of medical procedures every month. Some of which are highly invasive and unpleasant. The outcomes of these treatments are monitored by blood tests, MRIs, ultrasounds, and colonoscopies. The doctors claim that their efforts are paying off because Johnson's body is getting younger biologically. He claims he has the lung capacity and physical endurance of an 18-year-old, the heart of a 37-year-old and the skin of a 28-year-old.

The cost of a medical suite at Johnson's residence in Venice, California, as well as other expenses was several million dollars. He plans to spend at least $2 million on his body this year. Johnson is well aware that people might find him crazy and insane for doing such things But he doesn't really care. He said that he expected this criticism and he is fine with it. Johnson said, “What I do may sound extreme, but I’m trying to prove that self-harm and decay are not inevitable (unavoidable)" Johnson said that his extreme health regime makes it tough for women to date him. He said, "I'm single. In circumstances where I've tried to date, the first thing I do is give them a list of 10 things, like, 'Here are all the things you're going to hate about me, and things that are going to make me an impossible partner for you.' It's a big deal," Johnson made it clear that he will not be sharing the bed with his partner as he prioritizes shut-eye over a night of snuggling. "Wake events are very costly - once you get woken up, going back to sleep is very hard - so it's just extremely challenging when you've got to coordinate with another human," "I've built my life around sleep. That's the opposite of cultural norms; most people will blow their bedtime if they want to go out with friends."
