Kanjhawala Case: Delhi Girl Dragged By Car And Killed
Some heart wrenching visuals of a road accident in Delhi which shows a girl being dragged under a car for 12kms is being surfaced on the internet.
Earlier we released the news of Rishabh Pant’s deadly accident near Delhi and just days after some heart wrenching visuals of one another road accident surfaced on the internet. When the whole world is busy celebrating the start of the new year, a family in Delhi is mourning over the death of their beloved young daughter. In a shocking incident on the night of 31st December, a girl died a painful death. The girl's clothes were torn during the incident, and later her naked body was found by the police. Here is what happened. The girl’s name was Anjali. Her mother said that her daughter went to work in the Punjabi Bagh area of Delhi, where she used to work as a party welcome girl. She left home at around 5:30pm and said she would return by 10pm.
A patrolling PCR Vehicle spotted the girl's scooty lying on the road in an accidental condition. Later on, the police got a second PCR call at around 4.11 a.m. regarding a body of a girl that was lying in the Kanjhawala area. The girl was found naked. Thereafter, the body of the deceased was sent to SGM Hospital, Mangolpuri, wherein the doctor declared that the patient was brought dead. The police then found CCTV footage and began investigating. The girl’s body was dragged by the car and that’s how she died. The video of the girl being dragged under a Maruti Suzuki Baleno is being surfaced all over the internet. The police then traced the owner of the vehicle, Lokesh.
He stated that his car was with his brother-in-law Ashutosh. Ashutosh further stated that his friends Deepak and Amit took the car from him on 31st December 2022 around 7 pm and later left the vehicle at his residence in an accidental condition on 1st January around 5 am. After the police arrived at his place, Ashutosh called Deepak and Amit. Police then arrested Deepak Khanna, Amit Khanna, Krishan, Mitthu and Manoj Mittal. Deepak said he was driving the car and Manoj Mittal was sitting next to him. It is being said the five of them were returning after the new year celebration and were heavily drunk.
The men say they did not notice the Body being dragged because of the loud music playing in the car. When they noticed the body, they said they ran away out of fear. However, several eyewitnesses have come forward saying the accused are lying. Deepak Dahiya runs a confectionery shop on Kanjhawala Road. He said, “It was 3:20 am… I was standing outside the shop when I heard a loud noise from a vehicle about 100 meters away. Earlier, I thought it was a tire burst. As soon as the car moved, I saw a body being dragged. I informed the police immediately but Police just kept calling me and asking where I saw the body” After some time, he said around 3:30 am, the car took a u-turn and the dead body of the woman was still stuck under the vehicle. Dahiya said the accused kept dragging the body of the girl which got entangled to their vehicle for 18 to 20 kilometres by taking repeated U-Turns on a 4-5km road. This went on for 1.5 hours. “I tried to stop them many times, but they did not stop the vehicle. I also chased the car with my bike and was in contact with the police. After about one and a half hours, the body fell from the car, after which the accused fled; it could not be just an accident,” Dahiya stressed. Another eyewitness, Vikas, who works as a delivery boy for Zomato, said, "I was completing an order when a speeding car almost knocked me down. The occupants in the car saw police barricading ahead and took a U-turn at a very high speed and that's when I saw the head of a girl hanging from the rear end of the car. I got. Scared when I met two policemen on a bike and informed them about it. I have been to the Sultanpuri Police Station as well and have given my statement there."
The family was informed about her accident in the morning. However, according to the girl’s family, this is a case of Rape and murder, similarly like the gruesome Nirbhaya Rape-Murder case of 2012. People say in Delhi people are wearing 5 layers of clothing and the girl could not have been found naked like that. A political angle has emerged as one of the accused Manoj Mittal is a BJP member. Another interesting fact is that right outside the police station where the accused has been kept, Manoj Mittal’s face in on a hoarding with other political leader. People say the police are trying to cover up the matter. Investigations are on. CM Arvind Kejriwal has said he will make sure justice is given no matter how many political contacts people have. In a new twist to the capital shocker, which took place in the early hours of this New Year, investigators have found that 20-year-old Anjali was with a friend when a Maruti Baleno car hit her scooter. The friend, sources said, received minor injuries in the crash and fled the scene.
