Guidelines for Reopening Restaurants & Hotels

Today we will be telling you the guidelines issued by the Central Government for the re-opening of Restaurants & Hotels. 

Restaurants 

  • Instead of dine-in, takeaways should be encouraged. 

  • Food delivery person should leave the package at the door. Do not hand over the package to the customer directly.

  • Before going out for deliveries the restaurant should check the temperature of the home delivery staff. Entrances of restaurants should have hand hygiene and thermal screening facilities.

  • People in waiting should be seated in a separated fixed waiting area with strict rules of social distancing. There should be fixed markings with enough distance to manage the queue and ensure social distancing.

  • Only 50% of the seating capacity shall be permitted.

  • It is advised that disposable menus should be used.

  • All restaurants should use disposable paper napkins (tissues) instead of cloth napkins.

  • Buffet service should also follow social distancing norms.
     

 Hotels:

  • The guest must provide details (travel history, medical condition etc.) along with ID and self-declaration format the reception. 

  • Always when a guest leaves, rooms and other areas (lobby etc) shall be sanitized.

  • In the kitchen, the staff should follow social distancing norms. Kitchens area must be sanitized at regular intervals.

  • Deep cleaning of all washrooms should be done at regular intervals.

  • Face covers/masks/gloves etc. used by staff or guests must be properly disposed of.
