Flight Takes Off Without Passenger, Stone Found in Food

The Indian Aviation Industry has been criticized for a lot of bad reasons over the last few weeks and the trend continues to go on with two more stories adding on to the list.

Air India, which has been recently purchased by the Tata Group, is under a lot of controversies over the past few weeks. Earlier, two news of male passengers peeing on female co-passengers both during Air India flights were brought up into the spotlight. Although just a few days after the airline ensured strict action to be taken on both of the two matters, another such incident has been reported recently.

This time, a woman took to Twitter to complain about a piece of stone she found in a meal served to her. The Twitter user named Sarvapriya Sangwan shared two pictures of the meal, showing a small piece of stone that she found in her meal during an Air India flight. In a tweet, she tagged Air India and said that the crew was informed and‌ that this kind of negligence is unacceptable.'' The tweet angered a lot of Twitter users who criticized the Tata Group-owned airline for gross negligence, especially at a time when questions are being raised about its services. Responding to her tweet, Air India wrote, ''Dear Ma'am, this is concerning and we're taking this up immediately with our catering team. Please allow us some time to get back. We appreciate you bringing this to our notice.' Moreover, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran on 8th January, admitted that Air India's response to a drunk passenger urinating on a woman should have been faster and stricter.

Meanwhile, in another such incident, a Bengaluru - Delhi, Go First plane on 9th January 2023 at 6.40 am reportedly left the airport without taking more than 50 passengers, who were waiting in a shuttle bus for boarding. The airline declined to comment on the incident. However, in response to one of the tweets, the airline urged the users to share their details and said: "We regret the inconvenience caused.  Later the airline decided to offer all affected passengers one free ticket for travel on any domestic sector in the next 12 months". The passengers were reportedly accommodated on an Air India flight that left four hours later at around 10 AM. The aviation regulator DGCA has sought a report from the airline on the incident & has ensured strict action. What do you think about these back-to-back fail in the Indian Aviation industry?
