In a tragic turn of events, a celebration during an IPL match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) led to the death of a 63-year-old man in Hanmantwadi village of Kolhapur, Maharashtra.

The incident occurred on 27th March 2024, during the clash between MI and SRH, where SRH set a record-breaking IPL score of 277 runs. MI, led by ex-captain Rohit Sharma, fell short by 31 runs in the chase. Rohit Sharma's dismissal in the fifth over sparked a celebration from Bandopant Tibile, a staunch Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fan, who was watching the match with his friends Balawant Jhanjge (50) and his nephew Sagar Jhanjge.
