Doctors Remove 16-Kg Tumor From Woman’s Abdomen
Doctors at a private hospital in Bhopal removed a 16 kilogram tumour from the abdomen of a 20-year-old woman after performing a 6-hour-long surgery.
A 20-year-old woman went to a private hospital in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. She was a resident of Rajgarh.
Hospital Manager Devendra Chandolia said, “When she came she had severe pain in the stomach. She could not eat and could not walk. When doctors checked her, they found she had a tumour in her ovaries.
The tumour was extremely large. Doctors said that an urgent surgery is needed, otherwise she would not survive. She came to the hospital at the right time. The surgery took 6 hours. It was a very difficult operation but the doctors were successful in removing the tumour. Prior to the surgery, the woman weighed 48kg. When they removed the tumour, the weight of the tumour was 16-kg. Doctors were stunned at the weight and wondered how she could survive for long. She was very lucky to reach the hospital and remove it.”
