15-year-old girl who was murdered on 12 July 2021 in south Delhi’s Moti Bagh area. The incident is very shocking. Let me tell you about it. The girl was an expert in taekwondo and had won many medals as well. A 21-year-old man named Pradeep had been stalking her for the past 8 months. The girl’s mother said her daughter was practising the martial art particularly hard, and stayed vigilant ever since Pradeep started stalking her. The girl’s father, who owns a fruit stall, had even slapped Pradeep for stalking his daughter two months back and the father had warned Pradeep against stalking his daughter. Her father thought that Pradeep would stop stalking his daughter so he decided not to file a complaint. However, upset over the slap, Pradeep had  decided to take revenge. 

On 12th July the father said the girl walked to go to their fruit stall they owned. The father would always drop the girl but that day she decided to walk alone. Pradeep attacked the girl from behind with the axe. She ran but he chased her and hacked her to death and then he ran away. The incident occured close to her house. 

The girl’s mother said, “I was drying clothes outside my house when I saw a girl being chased on the other side of the park. She fell down and it looked like the man who was chasing her hit her a few times and ran away. Till that time, I was not aware that it was my daughter who was being killed right before my eyes. She may even have called for help, screamed, but I could not save her. If she had not been attacked from behind, she could have defended herself. He must be hanged.”

Sadly the gruesome incident occurred a day before her birthday which was 13 July. Senior Delhi Police personnel said that Pradeep was arrested from his sister’s house in Palwal in neighbouring Harya
