Andhra Husband Kills Wife For Not Giving Him Money

In Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati city, there lived a woman named Bhuvaneshwari who worked as a software engineer. Her husband’s name was Maramreddy Srikanth Reddy who was also an engineer but lost his job because of the pandemic and had turned to alcohol. He was unemployed for some months and there were some issues going on between wife and husband. They had an 18-month-old daughter, and were staying in Tirupati for the last three months. Her husband had asked her for money for daily expenses, which she refused. So in a fit of rage he killed her. CCTV footage of their building complex showed him carrying a red suitcase inside the building and exiting the building while holding his baby and dragging the suitcase. 

Maramreddy told relatives that she died of the new Delta Variant. He told everyone that her body had been cremated by hospital staff. On June 23, The burnt body of a woman was found in a suitcase in bushes near Sri Venkata Ramana Ruia (SVRR) government general hospital. Police officials examined CCTV footage around the hospital area and caught the cab driver who helped Maramreddy dump the body. When they checked Maramreddy building complex’s CCTV footage they realised that he had killed his wife and fooled his relatives that she died of COVID. The police learnt that he returned to the spot to burn the suitcase. However, by then he had run away. On 30th June he was arrested and a case has been filed against him.
