Ragi Malt: This is a great breakfast recipe, especially for newborn babies or pregnant women. Soak ragi in 2 to 3 cups of water for one hour. Drain the water and grind the ragi grains with a few spoonfuls of water to turn them into a pulp. Remove the pulp into a pan and add 2-3 spoonsful of water. While you heat this, add jaggery, ghee, or milk and sugar as per your taste. Keep stirring while this mixture cooks for 5-10 minutes.

Ragi Instant Dosa
If you don't have time to make breakfast, these healthy and instant snacks will fulfill your stomach. You just need Ragi Flour (finger millet), Rice Flour, Semolina, Curd, Ginger finely chopped, Green chilli finely chopped, Cumin, Water, Salt.

Ragi hair mask
Make a thin paste of powdered ragi and hibiscus water and add powdered amala if required. Massage it on to your scalp to get rid of dandruff and wash it off thoroughly after 5 minutes. This can be done once in two weeks to reap the benefits and grow lustrous long hair.

Ragi face scrub
Mix the tiny ragi seeds with an equal amount of curd. Apply this mixture to your face and rinse off after 15 to 25 minutes. You can use this scrub on your feet and as a before-bath body scrub too. The scrub exfoliates and rejuvenates the skin. It cleans and nourishes the skin and the curd also helps in tan removal.
