You might have heard your parents, grandparents or someone elderly in your family saying that you should use Indian style washrooms rather than using the modern day western toilets. Well even when this choice of choosing your own toilet is completely yours, you might have to know about the difference between these two toilet seats and why is it actually better to use the Indian style washroom as said by elderly people. When we talk about the basic difference, it is obviously the built of the two seats. The Indian toilet seats are mostly engraved in the floor of the toilet with a hole and a smooth slanted path directing the secreted waste to the toilet hole along with two flat foot rest on both the sides to rest your legs while you sit down on the seat with your legs bent from the knees, in most of the cases these toilets don’t have a jet spay and hence the user has to use their hands to clean after the job is done. Whereas if we talk about the western style toilets, it is built completely different and it look like a 2-3 feet chair with a whole in between where the accretion is supposed to be done, In western style washrooms the users sit comfortably like we do in the chair and in most of the cases there is facility of a jet spray which can be used to clean without using the hands directly.
However, in terms of basic comparison it's obviously the western style washroom which is more comfortable, efficient and better looking but when we compare both of these two toilet seats there are several different factors as well. Now when your granny says that Indian Style toilets are better and you should use them instead of using the modern day western toilets, here are the reasons which in a way supports their beliefs.
