The statement, “You are not hungry, you are just thirsty.” is true because water can suppress appetite. So drinking a glass of water before eating meals helps to reduce the amount of food intake. It also stops unnecessary snacking which can increase the calories and weight.

2.    Elimination of Toxins and Wastes:

We need water for proper functioning of our organs. Dehydration causes problems like constipation.

Water eases the path for digestion, and eliminates waste, toxins etc. It also relieves any pent up (kept) weight from waste build up in the body.

Good metabolism is important for losing weight. Metabolism is the process of converting the food into energy that we use to do work. Water can, in fact, accentuate in metabolism. Water burns the fat and it also increases the amount of calories you burn.
