All You Need to Know About Post Office Franchise

India Post Franchise Scheme allows eligible individuals and businesses to operate postal service outlets, offering various services and earning commissions.

The Indian Postal Service has played a significant role in our county for decades. It is currently one of the most reliable public postal service systems and remains unaffected by its rivals, such as courier services. It offers various services like delivery of mails, acceptance of deposits under Small Savings Schemes, Postal Life Insurance (PLI), bill collection etc. Even though India has the largest postal network in the world, with over 1.55 lakh post offices, including 89% in the rural area, there continues to be a demand for post offices. In order to meet the demand for Post Offices and to provide increased access to Postal services in both urban and rural areas, the Department of Posts introduced postal services through the India Post Franchise Scheme. The objective of the scheme is to expand the Postal network by opening franchised outlets in underserved areas. Through the scheme, the counter services are to be franchised, while delivery and transmission will be continued through the Department .
