In a first, a tiger at the Bronx Zoo in New York has tested positive for COVID-19.

A tiger at the Bronx Zoo in New York has tested positive for the new coronavirus.This is the first infection in an animal in the world. The tiger is 4 years old. 6 other tigers and lions have also been infected. They started coughing a lot and that's when they were tested positive for COVID-19. The tiger was infected by a zoo employee who was not showing symptoms but later tested positive for the virus. 

All the animals are recovering and doing better now. This has confused doctors and researchers all over the world since there have been no positive cases of COVID-19 among animals.Researchers are still going on about this and the best way to keep yourself and your pet animals safe is by following lockdown procedures and maintaining social distancing.
