Two Chilling Murders Inspired by the Meghalaya Honeymoon Killing
Two shocking cases from Telangana and Uttar Pradesh show how marriage was used as a trap to murder husbands for love and land.
ISH News had earlier reported the shocking Meghalaya Honeymoon Murder, where a bride helped kill her husband just days after their wedding. Sadly, two more similar cases have now come to light—one in Telangana and the other in Uttar Pradesh—where marriage was used as a cover to murder husbands for love affairs or land.
Case 1: Telangana Murder – Tejeswar & Aishwarya
Victim: Ganta Tejeswar, 32, a land surveyor from Gadwal, Telangana
Bride: Aishwarya, 23
Main Accused: Aishwarya’s lover V. Tirumala Rao, her mother Sujatha, and three hired killers
Tejeswar married Aishwarya on 18th May 2025, after forgiving her for running away earlier in February. But Aishwarya had secretly continued her affair with Tirumala Rao, a married man and NBFC manager. They exchanged over 2,000 calls, even on the wedding day.
On 17th June, Tejeswar was tricked into getting into a car for a fake land survey job. Inside, three killers—hired by Rao for ?3 lakh—stabbed and killed him, then sent a video of the murder to Rao. His body was found in a canal on 20th June.
Police arrested Aishwarya, her mother, and the killers. Rao is on the run. Aishwarya told police she was inspired by the Meghalaya murder case. There are also suspicions of a secret relationship between Rao and Aishwarya’s mother.
Case 2: Uttar Pradesh Fake Marriage – Indra & Sahiba
Victim: Indrakumar Tiwari, 45, teacher and farmer from Jabalpur
Accused: Sahiba Bano (posing as “Khushi Tiwari”), her husband Kaushal Kumar, and driver Samsuddin Ansari
Indra had gone viral in May 2025 for saying he was unmarried and owned 18 bighas of land. Seeing this, Sahiba and her husband made a fake marriage plan to steal his land.
Sahiba used a fake Aadhaar card and name, and her husband pretended to be her brother. The wedding happened on 5th June in Gorakhpur. Just hours later, Indra was drugged, strangled, and stabbed, and his body was dumped in a drain.
His body was found on 6th June, but was only identified later when his family reported him missing. Police found fake documents, wedding photos, and an affidavit where Indra had unknowingly promised his land to Sahiba and Kaushal.
All three accused are now in jail.
These cases are heartbreaking. Both Tejeswar and Indra trusted the wrong people and paid with their lives. In a society where marriage is considered sacred, such crimes remind us how love and trust can be misused for greed and personal gain.
