Tips to Help You Start Exercising

We keep deciding that from tomorrow I will exercise and stay fit. However, when tomorrow comes, we keep giving some excuse and avoid exercising. We keep doing this every time and then months pass by and we haven’t exercised and are unfit. But if you want to lose weight and be healthy then you have to exercise. You have no choice. 

Yes, exercise comes with a set of essential dos and don'ts. This can be very scary and confusing. But if you do it in the right way it is very easy. Here are some simple tips for when you start working out.

  1. Start slow and set realistic goals

We have all done this. We decide that today we will exercise very hard and full determination. Even though you haven't exercised in a long time, you push yourself. For example you may go running and run very fast and cover a long distance. The next day you are exhausted, your body hurts and you take a long time to recover. In the end you don’t end up going to run/exercise again. Doing this causes an injury as well. 

Take it easy. Don't burn all your energy on day one. Try to understand that losing weight or becoming fit is a long-term processes and takes time. Have time-bound goals that are not impossible to achieve.

  1. Always stay hydrated

Drinking water is very important. Once you start exercising, you have to keep drinking water. If you do not it can lead to serious health issues. Also, remember to drink water before, during and post workout to maintain your energy levels.

  1. Mind your nutrition

They say abs are made in the kitchen and not in the gym. Just going to the gym and praying for a fit body won't work.You need to consistently plan your meals and eat healthy food. never skip your meals or stick to fasting to lose weight. Have a balanced diet. 

  1. Exciting Activities 

Try different forms of exercises to keep you motivated. Maybe go to the gym, try yoga, Zumba, go for a trekk try cycling try. If you you are getting bored switch your exercise. Only if you enjoy the exercise you will become fit. 

  1. Exercise Buddies 

Sometimes exercising alone can feel boring. Have an exercise buddy. So whenever you feel like skipping a workout your friend will motivate you. Even during exercise your friend will motivate you and you will enjoy the work out. 

Be consistent with your exercises. Start small and keep increasing the intensity of your exercise. Respect your body. If you feel your body hurts take a break. When you are lazy to do another form of exercise that excites you. At the end of the day you must try to include one form of physical activity in a day. Ask yourself what did i do today. If the answer is nothing, then at least go out for a walk.

If you respect your body and take care of it it will take care of you.
