Originally from Indore, Chandrika found herself selling authentic Mumbai-style Vada Pavs outside Keshav Mahavidyalya in Delhi’s Sainik Vihar, Pritampura. After losing her parents at a young age, she moved to Delhi in search of better opportunities and worked at the famous Indian fast-food chain Haldiram. Eventually, she pursued her dream of owning a food business with her husband, Yash Gera.

Despite paying fees, she faced threats of closure, sparking debate among netizens about the authenticity of her plight.
