The Crimes of Sachin Vaze & the Corrupt Maharashtra Government

You are all aware about the Scorpio car filled with 20 gelatin sticks and a threatening letter to the Ambani family that was found near Mukesh Ambani’s home Antilia in Mumbai. Police officer Sachin Vaze of the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU), who was investigating the case, was himself arrested in connection to the car and the murder of the car’s owner Hiren Mansukh. Mansukh’s wife had also said that Vaze was the person who killed her husband. This news has become extremely complicated like a Bollywood suspense movie. In our last video we had explained about Sachin Vaze’s past and why he was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). According to NIA sources they believe Hiren Mansukh’s car was never stolen. Various clues found by officials point to Sachin Vaze’s involvement. Let me tell you about it. Sachin Vaze had used a fake Aadhaar card to check in at Trident Hotel in Mumbai on 16th Feb. A business man had funded Vaze’s stay and had paid for 100-days in advance. On 17th Feb Mansukh’s Scorpio went missing and he filed a complaint at the Vikhroli police station on the same day. Sachin Vaze reportedly asked the Vikhroli Police to stop its investigation in the car theft case. According to Mansukh’s wife, Sachin Vaze allegedly told her husband to get arrested in the Ambani bomb scare case and that he would ensure his bail in a few days.

According to NIA sources, Mansukh Hiren's Scorpio car was never stolen. Mansukh had reportedly handed over keys to the car to a CIU official on 17 February, who then parked it at Sachin Vaze's residence in Thane's Saket colony. A week before the Ambani bomb scare incident, Sachin Vaze's family had left the flat. The CCTV footage of the building had been erased as well. On February 25, an Innova car was seen entering Mumbai at 1.20 am. This same Innova had accompanied the Scorpio car that was placed outside Mukesh Ambani's residence. On the night of March 4 when Mansukh went missing and was allegedly murdered, Sachin Vaze made sure that he didn’t make any calls or receive calls on his personal phone. To strengthen his defence, Vaze conducted searches at hotels till late at night on March 4 in Dongri of Mumbai.

Sachin Vaze had other accomplices too. According to officials, a Gujarat-based cricket bookie Naresh Gor provided five SIM cards to suspended Mumbai Police constable Vinayak Shinde who was close to Sachin Vaze. Calls were reportedly made from these SIM cards to lure Mansukh Hiren out of his home on the day of his murder. Shinde is also suspected to be involved in planting the threat letter near Mukesh Ambani’s residence. A printer found at his residence is suspected to have been used to print the threat letter addressed to the Ambani family. Both Gor and Shinde have been arrested by the Maharashtra (Anti-Terrorism Squad) ATS. A black Mercedes car, used by Sachin Vaze, was seized from a parking lot near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) on March 16. Rs 5 lakh in cash, note-counting machines, original number plates of the Scorpio, a checkered shirt and a kerosene bottle was also recovered. According to CCTV footage recovered, a man wearing a checkered shirt and PPE suit had left the Scorpio car near the Antilia.  NIA officials believe that since they found a checkered shirt in Vaze’s car, then Vaze must be the man who left the car near Ambani’s home and then he may have burned the PPE suit using the Kerosene.

NIA said, Sixty-two bullets have been found from Sachin Vaze's house, which are unaccounted for. The NIA also said, "Only 5 of the 30 bullets given for his service revolver have been found. Vazi is not telling where the rest went." Several incriminating documents have been found from Sachin Vaze's office as well as his residence. The NIA has also seized his laptop. Now a political tussle has erupted between Shiv Sena - the ruling party of Maharashtra and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis hit out at CM Uddhav Thackeray, accusing him of shielding Vaze. Fadnavis alleged that Vaze seemed to have some sensitive information against the government, that is why Uddhav is protecting him. These sensational discoveries have questioned the functioning of the Mumbai Police as well. Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh was transferred from his post on March 17 and Maharashtra DGP Hemant Nagrale took over his post. Param Bir Singh was sent to the Home Guards department. However, the biggest bombshell in the case dropped on March 20 when Param Bir Singh wrote an explosive letter to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray alleging that Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had reportedly asked Sachin Vaze and other cops to extort Rs 100 crore per month for him from restaurants, hotels and other establishments in Mumbai.

While the Maharashtra government and Deshmukh themselves have denied such claims, the opposition BJP has ramped up pressure for the removal of the Home Minister and called for an investigation into Param Bir Singh's claims. Param Bir Singh petitioned the Supreme Court to make the CBI investigate the corruption matter. However, the Sc told him to file a complaint with the Bombay High Court. The SC said why did he come to them directly, he should have first asked the Bombay High Court. Vaze has continuously said that he is not involved in the case at all and that he’s being made a scapegoat.
