Pakistani 5-Year-Old Girl Raped by 3 Men, Murdered by Another

A five-year-old girl, Ayat Noor, who went missing in Haripur, Pakistan, was found dead inside a well after a 14-day search, with four people arrested in connection with the case.

A five-year-old girl, Ayat Noor, went missing from her home in Pathan Colony, Haripur, Pakistan, on 10 August 2026. She had gone outside to play in the evening but did not return.

Her father, Shafique, who works at a bakery, reported her missing to the police. A special investigation team was formed, and police checked around 200 CCTV cameras, phone records and other digital information. More than 400 police officers, along with local residents and municipal workers, joined the search.

Police searched drains, empty plots, grass-covered areas and other deserted places around the University of Haripur and nearby areas. Residents also held protests and blocked roads, demanding that Ayat be found and those responsible be arrested.

Police later identified three boys, aged between 13 and 16, who allegedly took Ayat away. During questioning, they reportedly told police that they had sexually assaulted her and left her unconscious. However, police later found that another person had taken Ayat from that location.

The second suspect allegedly told police that Ayat had been taken to a deep, dry well near a warehouse. On 24 August, police searched the area and found Ayat's body inside the well. She had been bound, gagged and placed inside a sack.

Police arrested four people in connection with the case: Usman, Qasim, Talha and Hassan Khan. Police also recovered the motorcycle allegedly used in the incident.

Ayat's post-mortem examination was completed on 25 August. Doctors collected X-rays, DNA samples and other evidence for further investigation.

After the examination, Ayat's father took her body home for the final time. Hundreds of people gathered for her funeral prayers as the community mourned the tragic death of the young girl.
