The India become runner-up at the T20 World Deaf Cup.

The Indian team made it to the finals of the Deaf T20 World Cup final. The team was made up of players like, vice-captain Imran Shaikh, Vipul Patel, Ravi Tailor and team manager Tushar Patel. India fought very hard against Sri Lanka in the finals, but they lost by 36 runs.

Teams like Australia, Sri Lanka and South Africa had the best practice facilities. Team India wasn't as lucky. They did not have a proper ground to warm up before their matches. They used to warm up in their hotel lobby. The other teams had a large staff to help them. The Indian team had to heavily depend on coach Kiran Sane. He was the team’s fitness coach but become a full time coach when India got selected.

Even though they lost, vice-captain Imran Shaikh said that he is very proud of their achievement. He hopes their performance will inspire future cricketers. Imran hopes to become the world champion in the 50-over World Cup in 2020.

The  other teams was able to prepare strategies against the Indian players as they had a video analyst. India without any such facilities still managed to reach the finals so he is extremely satisfied.

He said that most of the players come from poor families. They just want to make their country proud. If the players have financial security, the boys will perform even better.
