Petrol Prices May Finally Fall Below Rs.80/Ltr in Mumbai

For the first time in 10 months prices of diesel and petrol to fall.

Petrol and diesel prices have taken a rollercoaster ride this year. For the first time in Mumbai’s history on 4 October 2018 the price for petrol was Rs.91.34. Not only petrol but the price for diesel had gone upto Rs.80.10/ltr. This price fell down to Rs.72.56 yesterday.

The Central and State Government tried to help by giving an incentive of Rs.4.37/ltr for petrol prices. This was of no use as the price hiked again.

Citizens can relax now as the prices for petrol and diesel are expected to fall.Petrol Pumps all over the city are expected to slash their prices by Rs.11/ltr which will bring the price to an economic Rs.80/ltr.

The official reason for such a big increase in the fuel prices were credited to the fluctuating crude oil prices in the international market. According to the National Transporters Association the elections in a few states could have also been the reason.

This has only encouraged oil companies to expand their business in rural areas which will generate employment and meet the fuel shortage.

The rising cost of living has always been a problem for all the residents of Mumbai. Let's hope the fall in fuel prices will help alleviate some of their frustration.
