Pakistan Attacks Its Own Village in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 30 Killed
Pakistan’s Air Force bombed a village in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan, killing 30 civilians. This tragedy once again exposes their weak intelligence and neglects their own civilians.
In a shocking incident, the Pakistan Air Force carried out an airstrike on its own people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The attack happened on Monday night at 2 am when Pakistan J-17 fighter jets dropped eight LS-6 bombs on Matre Dara village in the Tirah Valley.
At least 30 civilians, including women and children, lost their lives in this tragic strike. Disturbing photos and videos went viral, showing lifeless bodies, even of children, scattered around the site.
Why did Pakistan bomb its own village?
Reports say the Pakistani Air Force acted on intelligence claiming that the terror group Tehreek-e-Taliban, supported by Afghanistan, was running a bomb-making facility in the area. However, instead of eliminating terrorists, the attack mostly killed innocent citizens.
Sadly, this is not the first time such an incident has happened. In April 2010, Pakistan carried out an airstrike on Saravilla village in the same region, killing 63 civilians after wrongly suspecting Taliban presence. At that time, Army chief Ashfaq Parvez Kayani had to publicly apologise.
These repeated tragedies highlight two things: Pakistan's weak intelligence system and its long history of neglecting the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, treating them like second-class citizens.
Once again, the people of the region are left with grief and anger, paying the price for their government’s failures.
