P Chidambaram Let Out on Bail

P Chidambaram has been let out on a conditional bail by the Supreme Court after spending 106 days in prison.

The ED (Enforcement Directorate) had filed a case of money laundering against Former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram.After spending 106 days in jail, he was released from Tihar Jail on 4th December 2019.This is because he was given bail by the Supreme Court. 

The Court has said that he is not allowed to give interviews to news channels or news papers. He is not allowed to leave India without the SC’s permission and has given his passport to the CBI. The SC court has warned him not to tamper with any evidence or intimidate witnesses in the case. If the ED calls him to the office for any work he is supposed to come. He had to pay Rs 2 lakh as bail.
