Jaipur Accident: Speeding Dumper Rams Into 17 Vehicles, 10 Dead
A speeding dumper truck in Jaipur’s Harmada area killed 13 people in a shocking crash. The tragedy has sparked anger over poor enforcement, encroachments, and road safety failures.
A normal afternoon turned into one of Rajasthan’s worst road tragedies when a speeding dumper truck caused massive destruction on Jaipur’s Loha Mandi Road in the Harmada area.
On 3rd November 2025, at around 1:45 pm, the truck driven by Kalyan Meena lost control and ploughed through cars, bikes, and pedestrians. CCTV footage showed the truck moving at over 100 km/hr, covering nearly 300 metres, and smashing into more than 17 vehicles.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as horrific bodies, wrecked cars, and cries for help filled the road. Entire families were wiped out, including two young girls aged 5 and 7. The death toll was confirmed at 13, with several others critically injured.
During interrogation, the driver admitted to consuming alcohol twice before driving. After the first collision, he continued driving on the wrong side, crashing into multiple vehicles before finally stopping after hitting a trailer.
Jaipur Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal ordered stricter traffic enforcement, directing SHOs to monitor road safety and increase checks for drunken driving. The Rajasthan High Court also ordered immediate action to remove encroachments and roadside obstructions.
Residents expressed anger on social media, demanding stronger enforcement and calling the tragedy preventable. Videos of the crash went viral, showing the scale of devastation.
The Harmada crash was not just an accident, it was a result of negligence and weak systems. Thirteen innocent lives were lost, leaving the city asking if this doesn’t bring change, what will?
