We all may have given exams in our lives. In school, college etc. In a usual exam, students get a question paper, and they have to write answers, but with the covid pandemic, new types of exams have emerged.

Now there are online open book exams where students can refer to their notes, as well as textbooks.

In the middle of all these new methods, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Goa, has come up with a very unique exam to evaluate their students.

Analogue Circuits is a subject taught to students at IIT Goa. A viral screenshot of their question paper shows that students were asked to prepare questions as well as answer them. The paper just mentioned that students were expected to prepare questions on their own. Questions had to be based on the lecture material. After this, they had to answer the same questions. The paper said that the questions should show their understanding of the course. The paper was of 70 marks and had to be completed in 2 hours.  It also stated that the students should not discuss this among themselves as the similarities would lead to a reduction in their marks.

This unique method to evaluate students then became viral on Twitter. On twitter, many appreciated the  faculty member for designing the question paper this way. Many others dropped amused reactions.
