Family of 4 Drown while Taking Selfies

In a shocking tragedy, a family of four drown and die in while taking selfies.

India has the highest number of selfie-related deaths. There has been another death in India due to selfies. It took place near the Pambaru dam in Krishnagiri district, Tamil Nadu.Six members of the family, including a newly-wed couple and a minor, were posing for a selfie in waist-deep water.

There was holding hands to and clicking a selfie. While taking the picture one of them slipped and they current dragged 4 persons into the water. Officials at the dam said that they have repeatedly warned people not to take selfies near the dam. Till now there have been 19 deaths at the dam. 

In a horrific tragedy in May, three teenagers died clicking a selfie on railway tracks in Haryana.Between 2011 to 2017, 259 selfie-related deaths were recorded in India. Taking selfies and posting them on Instagram and Facebook has become very popular. People like to stand in beautiful locations and take pictures. However everyone must keep safety in mind first.
