China’s Largest Rocket Crashed Over the Indian Ocean

Part of China’s largest rocket which has been launched recently crashed over the Indian Ocean on Sunday 31st July.

China launched a 23-ton rocket on 24th July 2022. The rocket successfully entered its planned orbit. There were no humans on the rocket. However, soon after that, the parts of the rocket broke and fell uncontrollably towards the earth.

Many people took to social media to share videos. The videos show stunning hues of red, blue, and yellow blazing across the night sky while onlookers take out cameras to capture the moment.

But in fact, the fireworks were burning debris from a Chinese rocket that reentered the earth's atmosphere over the  Indian Ocean. Since then space agencies were tracking the path of the rocket as they feared that it could come down and fall over a populated area. The rocket disintegrated over Malaysia's Kuching city.

A scientist said that “No other country leaves these 20-ton things in space to re-enter in an uncontrolled way. Only China can do this.” No casualty or loss of infrastructure has been reported as the rocket seems to have crashed over the Indian Ocean near Malaysia.

This is the third time that China has been accused of not properly handling space waste called the debris from its rocket stage. What do you think about China’s negligent behavior which could have caused serious damage to lives and property? Do mention your thoughts in the comment section below.
