BJP’s Tejasvi Surya Opens Flight Emergency Exit
Congress has started targeting BJP Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya, amid reports that the passenger who accidentally opened the emergency exit of an IndiGo plane was him.
Without letting you wait for another minute, ISH News is back with another weird news right from the grounds of the aviation industry. For a change, it becomes even more exciting with the hinge of Indian politics and BJP-Congress drama. Congress on Tuesday, 17th of January started targeting Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya, amid reports that the passenger, who accidentally opened the emergency exit of an IndiGo plane after boarding at Chennai airport last month was none other than BJP’s Tejasvi Surya. Tejasvi Surya is a popular face in politics from Bangalore and along with the BJP’s member of parliament, he is also currently serving as BJP Yuva Morcha chief.
The incident reportedly took place when the cabin crew was briefing the passengers on the safety protocols. The BJP MP, who was also listening to the mandatory emergency procedures, pulled the lever, causing the opening of the emergency exit. Following the incident, all the passengers were made to deboard the plane and were asked to sit in a bus. The incident caused Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials and airline authorities to rush to the spot. The plane finally took off after a two-hour delay. Citing IndiGo sources, the report further said that Tejasvi Surya was asked to apologise, and he gave it in writing. Earlier, the airline in question IndiGo had refused to issue any statement in the incident. Later, the airline confirmed the incident saying, A passenger travelling on Flight 6E 7339 from Chennai to Tiruchirapalli on 10th December accidentally opened the emergency exit during the boarding process.
Soon after the news started surfacing on the internet, congress has also questioned as to why the government hid the incident so long. Neither Surya or his office have reacted to the allegations so far. "Tejasvi Surya is an example of what will happen if children playing games are given the proprietorship. An act of Children's mischief by trying to open the emergency exit door of the plane has come to light. Why prank with the lives of passengers?" Karnataka Congress said in its statement. The aircraft, which was on the ground, was subject to mandatory engineering checks before it flew to Tiruchirapalli that day. A senior official at aviation regulator DGCA on Tuesday, 17th January said the event was duly reported and that no safety was compromised.
