Rajesh Kumar, a Railways employee, and his wife went to the bank for some work. However, he was not wearing a mask so the security guard stopped him from entering. Rajesh went back home and returned to the bank wearing a mask. This time again the security guard did not allow them to enter as it was lunch time. According to the security guard, when the man returned, he started abusing and fighting with him.

He said, "He did not have a mask. I pointed that out, so he got a mask. But then he started abusing me. We had an argument. There was pushing and shoving, and the firing happened accidentally. Even, I am injured, you can see my buttons have come off.” However, Rajesh’s relative did not agree and said, “There was an argument and the guard pushed him and then shot him.” A video of the incident also went viral. In the video Rajesh is lying on the floor with his leg bleeding. His distraught wife can be seen kneeling by his side and shouting, "Why did you shoot him?" Another person was asking the guard: "How can you just shoot him? You will go to jail, you realise? "

Mr Kumar was rushed to the hospital and is out of danger. The guard is now in the custody of the UP Police.

Bareilly Police Chief Rohit Singh Sajwan said, "The bank employees told us the argument happened over some reason after the person entered the bank. We are questioning the guard and are trying to find out the reason.”
