Shane Warne, one of the greatest spinners cricket has ever seen, passed away in Thailand on Friday. He was found unresponsive in his villa and could not be revived.

At 52, Warne was an essential presence in the game he lorded over as evident from 708 Test wickets and a yield of 293 in ODIs through a career that lasted over a decade and a half.

The leg-spinner was part of World Cup and Ashes-winning squads and after his retirement in 2007, He later took various roles linked to cricket, be it as a coach or commentator.

 

Even during his cricketing career, Warne was always surrounded by tons of controversies inside and outside the cricketing field, He was involved in a sex scandal with models, he had multiple affairs with actors and he is divorced. His life has been very colourful and controversial with a lot of such crazy incidents with the hinge of paparazzi involvement.

 

But even despite having a constant risk of career by experts because of several controversies, Shane Warne ended up his career turning out to be one of the most well known Australian cricketers internationally.

And since his passing away, many tributes and messages for the loved cricketer have poured all across social media. 

 

Warne had experienced chest pains prior to his death in Thailand and had a medical history of asthma and some heart issues, a Thai police official said on Saturday, after listening to the statements given to him by Warne`s family.

According to sources, attempts by Warne’s close friend and associate Andrew Neophitou to bring him back to consciousness were unsuccessful as they were the first ones to see him at his two-storey holiday villa in Thailand.

Warne died soon after ordering a new suit and calling two Thai masseuses to his holiday villa, a Thai police officer said yesterday.

Pol Maj Gen Satit Polpinit, commander in Thai Police, told A Thai newspaper that Warne had “coughed up liquid and was bleeding” when CPR started. 

 

Warne’s manager James Erskine said Neophitou- A Close friend of Warne, attempted to perform CPR before the ambulance arrived to take Warne to hospital but he was declared dead shortly after.

Meanwhile, the ambulance team leader stated to Thai media that Neophitou performed CPR for 20 minutes. His friends were really very shocked- he further added.

 

Even though there was vomit and blood in the room. No injuries were found in his body.

“No foul play (signs of murder) was suspected at the scene based on our investigation,” Thai police said.
