  1. Drinking tea during summer is a bad idea

Tea can be relished in any season and at any time of the day as it is healthy, lacks artificial ingredients or preservatives, and has low calories. In fact, as for summers, consuming a piping hot cup of tea can make you sweat, which will help your body to cool down faster.

  1. Tea bags are as good as loose tea

Tea bags are trending a lot these days, it has made life easier. However, they aren't as healthy, especially when you compare them with the usual loose tea. Tea bags usually only contain dust from broken tea leaves, which do not have the essential nutrients, oils, and aroma. Even these bags are made of silk or plastic. 

  1. Drinking green tea can help you lose weight 

This is a very popular myth about tea and the marketing techniques followed by various brands. Drinking green tea cannot magically transform you into a figure you want. While it speeds up the metabolism a little, only green tea cannot help to lose weight. There is a lot more that you need to do. There is no scientific evidence for the same too. 

  1. Tea leaves don't expire

This is false. Every manufactured product has an expiry date. Usually, tea has a shelf life of six to eight months. As per a study conducted, after a tea crossed its expiry, its nutrient levels were reduced by 32% which makes it less edible and healthy.

  1. Adding milk to tea can destroy its benefits

Another popular myth is that adding milk can destroy the health benefits of tea. This is absolutely wrong!

Milk is rich in Calcium, potassium, and Vitamins B2 and B12, so basically, instead of destroying the tea's nutrients, it adds more to it. So let's move forward and enjoy guilt-free cups of tea! However, remember that anything extreme can be harmful for health. So have tea in moderation.
