There were 10,000 protesters in Srinagar and the police had to use teargas and pellets to control the protesters. 12 people were admitted to the hospital. The Samjhauta Express, commonly called the friendship express, is a bi-weekly train - running on Thursday and Monday - between Delhi and Attari in India and Lahore in Pakistan. Services began in 1976. Pakistan all by themselves decided to stop the Samjhauta Express and now Thar Express train service which links the two countries across the Rajasthan border. People are very worried as they will not be able to meet relatives on either side of the border.
