PM Narendra Modi in Russia for 3rd visit

Prime Minister Modi is visiting the Russian Far East Region for the first time, to attend the 5th Eastern Economic Forum.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Russia for a two-day visit. The Prime Minister received a guard of honour on his arrival at the airport. He will be the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the Russian Far East Region. Before heading to Russia, the Prime Minister said he looks forward to discussing regional and international issues of mutual interest with Russian President Vladimir Putin. During this visit India and Russia will talk about how to strengthen the relationship between the two countries. 


PM Modi will attend the 5th Eastern Economic Forum as the chief guest at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The forum focuses on the development of business and investment opportunities in Russia. This is very beneficial to develop a close relationship with Russia. He said that he looks forward to meeting other global leaders attending the Eastern Economic Forum. He is also very interested in meeting Indian businessmen who will be participating. Modi is looking forward to meeting President Vladimir Putin.
