The Indian government on Tuesday 26th November, compulsorily retired 21 junior officers of the Income Tax Department. Till now the government has fired a total of 85 IT officials. This is because PM Modi had ordered to fire them as there were lots of cases of corruption against them. These officers were fired by forcing them to retire. Some of the officers challenged the government's decision. But as per law, the government has the authority to forcefully retire a person above the age of 50.

The 21 officers who were recently fired had many cases of corruption. They had accepted bribes between Rs 20,000 to Rs 6 lakh. These officers were posted across the country, in places such as Jharkhand, Mumbai and Hyderabad. Now even the Central Government is keeping a close eye on corrupt officials. They are finding corrupt employees and will take strict action against them.
