Kerala Deaf Youth Forum Conference 2019

For the first time, the Kerala Deaf Youth Forum is hosting a conference teach and encourage leadership skills among the youth in Kerala.

The Kerala Deaf Youth Forum (KDYF) was set up on 11th March 2011. They have been working for the last 8 years to empower the Deaf community. KYDF works to create awareness among the youth in Kerala regarding Deaf culture, Accessibility, Sign Language, Deaf Identity, Deaf education, teachers etc. Their aim is to work hard for a good future for the Deaf community.  They are doing this to empower and encourage leadership among the youth and make sure associations were united for the development of the Deaf community.

The All Kerala Association of Deaf (AKAD) has been working for many years. Since KDYF were a new youth association, they decided to work with AKAD to help develop the Deaf community together. This made sure the work was faster.The Kerala Deaf Youth Forum is now hosting a conference in Ernakulam on 1st September. The conference starts from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Sunil Sahasrabudhe from Mumbai will be present to give a presentation on Effective Leadership & Role Models. Babloo Kumar, will also give a presentation regarding Deaf Youth Leadership Skills.
