Whatsapp Group Admin Arrested for Misbehaviour
A man was arrested for adding a woman on a pornographic Whatsapp group.
A Whatsapp group administrator was arrested for adding a woman on a pornographic website without her consent.
The woman in question is a housewife. She was surprised to see herself added to such a group but thought it was a prank. On further inspection she found vulgar content on the grouped and immediately filed a police complaint.
The Mumbai Police went through the contacts on the group, found the admin’s number and put a trace on it. A mobile network company told the police that the man was currently in Matunga.
He was immediately arrested. The man was a carpenter. He said that he thought the number was of his brother-in-law and had no intention of harassing that woman.
He was arrested under the IT Act, Where he can a maximum punishment of 5 yrs in jail.
The mumbai police has advised everyone to be very careful about who they add and what they post on Whatsapp groups.
