US Tries To Extradite Dawood’s Top Aide

Global Terrorist Dawood Ibrahim’s close aide Jabir Motiwala was arrested by Scotland Yard In UK. The FBI is trying hard to extradite him to the US.

Dawood Ibrahim is an Indian, hiding in Pakistan. The US has a reward of $25 Million for his capture after his role in the 1993 bombings in Mumbai.The US has declared Dawood Ibrahim and his international drug trafficking organisation D-company a global terrorist. The US has said that his organisation shares their drug smuggling routes with different terrorist groups in Pakistan. 

Jabir Motiwala was arrested by Scotland Yard in August 2018 after a tipoff from the US. He was arrested for smuggling drugs and money laundering. Motiwala is the right hand man and one of the closest aides of the Dawood Ibrahim. 

The FBI has requested the UK courts to extradite Motiwala to the US. At a hearing in London, the USA’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said that Dawood is in hiding in Pakistan with the help of the government. Pakistani Diplomats in London are trying desperately to prevent the extradition of Jabir Motiwala to the US. He is one of the most trusted aides of Dawood Ibrahim and his organization D-Company. The Pakistani government is afraid that if Motiwala is sent to the US, he will be made to spill all the details about Dawood like his whereabouts and how the organization (D-company) works. 

Lawyers for Motiwala said he is suffering form depression and has made several suicide attempts and cannot travel and be in a court case. A lawyer representing the US Government said, Motiwala has traveled all around the world doing business and smuggling drugs and doing money laundering for Dawood and the D-Company. The case is in courts in London and the FBI and the US government hope to get him to USA so they can collect more information and maybe catch Dawoon once and for all.
